Ok answer to the last question.  No the unit would not take the minefield attack for taking wall then falling back to the building.

Let us assume that there exist a stone building that has been fortified, Further that on one side  is a stone wall. Let us also assume that there are 3 units in this hex. One squad claims the wall the rest claim the building. An enemy unit moves next to the building in question and places a DC on the building, we will assume he lives to tell about it and it goes off.
1)       Does the unit claiming the wall take the damage inflicted on the units in the building? Reality would say no, but we are play ASL not reality here.
2)        If he does take the damage, does he get the wall or the building as a modifier?
3)       Assume all units “in” the building are PIN’ed/Broken/Etc. Does the unit claiming the wall if un-hurt, prevent CC in the fortified building because there is an un-broken unit in the fortified building hex?
4)       Assume the units in the building were PIN’ed/Broken/Etc. by other than the DC so there is no breach in the building wall. Does he prevent CC due to his presence even though he has wall not building?
5)       Would a FT attack Vs. the hex from the “far side” of the building with no LOS to the wall hex side effect the unit claiming wall?

Now if THAT don’t scramble a bit of the ol’ gray matter.

            PS:
Oh yea, Jerry. Don’t read this, OK.

For those of you who are wondering, I have something else up my sleeve but this came up as a WTF as I was thinking about what to do. I figure the 40 mine factor should keep the DC out of the hex, I just have not figured out how to get the troops in the building OUT once the day/night is over? I don’t care if he is a 10-3 with 8-3-8’s I don’t want him wandering around in a 40 factor mine field! I’m funny that way

So on that thought, Assume I had done this, would the unit claiming wall take the mines if he later claimed the building? He has not entered / left the hex?
