The Berserk
Commissars are pleased to host the
9th Annual Wild West Fest the last full weekend in August. Come join us for a
weekend of Advanced Squad Leader fun. If you're interested in the format we've
planned, click here.
We've put together a collection of prizes,
T-shirts, and trinkets so no one goes home empty handed. Along with the
tournament sequence of scenarios there will be prizes awarded to the winner of
the "Hero" and "Tank Rumble" games. For those of you down
on your luck, the poor souls who come under the sniper's gunsights the most,
and the fellow who "voluntarily" de-evolves his troops will get some
special sympathy.
Registration:
Registration can be in advance or at the door. You can register in advance by
sending a $20.00 (USD) check to:

You can also register at the door for a
surprisingly low $25.00 (USD).
Lodgings:
The Berserk Commissars have arranged a special room rate and a group of rooms
with the Shilo Inn. The room rate is $69.00 if you mention WWF, the B.C.'s or
the war game convention. Normal rate is $79.00. Make your room reservations at
(800) 222 2244 (Note that it's a different phone number then last year, but the
same location)
Transportation:
Take I-5 to the Lake Oswego/Durham Exit 290. You can see their Inn sign from
the freeway, it's on the west side.
The Shilo has a transportaion service that will pick you up from the Beaverton
MAX station. The service is offered Monday-Friday, 8-4 MAX is the metro-area
light rail, which is actually pretty cool. They just completed the leg that
connects the airport to downtown, so with a couple of transfers between MAX
units you can get all the way to the Shilo pick-up area. A map to the facility
can be retrieved here.
The Hotel is also easily
accessable by TriMet bus lines 36, 38, 76, 96. All stop at Tualaty Park and
Ride Directly across the street from the Shilo Inn.
Food and stuff:
The great thing about this venue is that
it's close to all of the staples any self respecting ASL'r would ever need. You
need grease, salt, sugar, or beer? Well it will be close by…
